WEDNESDAYS #8 vs. CANNIBALS:

(vol. 37W, no. 8; newsletter by b.n.)
Penalty Shot? You're kidding me right? It's a freakin' week later and I still can't believe that the refs at GoodSports called a penalty shot! (And these were supposed to be the top line refs ... )

Well, I guess I got ahead of myself ... The game against the Cannibals didn't start out with a penalty shot, but they did manage to score a flukey goal to start the game. Throw in The Worst Call Ever Made at GoodSports USA and the Pirates found themselves in a little bit of a hole to start the game. Gucci was able to add an unassisted tally later in the 1st to make it 2-1 at the break though.

Russ picked-up a goal on a feed from Grinberg in the final period to send the game into overtime ... and that tie would be the way it ended. And Tony? I hate to say it, but it sounded to me like he was crying to Grinberg at the end of OT.
