SUNDAYS #5 vs. ST. PATS:

(vol. 36S, no. 5; newsletter by r.n.)
From the Captain's BlackBerry™ en route to Delaware ...
On a night when the Pirates were very flat, they lost a frustrating game to St. Pats. Despite an obvious lack of jump, we hung around through most of the game. To add insult to injury, an unusually lopsided amount of Pirate penalties were viewed by the youthful zebras. (I am officially giving amnesty to Tony for his penalty as it appeared he simply removed a Pat's stick from his groin and was called for protecting his right to reproduce when he finds the right “Tony-groupie” to mate with.) Tim receives a nomination for best supporting actor for his role in the Oscar-winning performance of embellishment by a St. Pat's player on an inadvertent high stick. Dan is a leading candidate for a role in the remake of any Esther Williams' classic water follies for his water skiing technique as seen in his hooking form.

As you can tell by all this foolishness, I wasn't very impressed by our play but I should mention that the St. Pats' keeper was sharp and we did score two nice goals. The first was off a sharp pass from Glenn to Mike who scored through a double screen by Tim and Scott, and the other was off a textbook give-and-go between Kevin and Tony.

1) TIM HAND
For a sweet finish to tic-tac-toe passing from Glenn and Scott, that tied things up (briefly) in the 1st period.

2) MIKE FARRELL
For his blast that found the twine top shelf.

3) DARREN GUGGLIELMELLI
For showing-up and playing through despite very obviously being ill.
