WEDNESDAYS #10 vs. GERIATRICS:

(vol. 17W, no. 10; newsletter by k.r.)
Apologies for the tardiness of this newsletter for the Consolation game against the Gerrys. It is just not that exciting to write about a Consolation game that you played right after the Championship game that you wanted to be in. But that being said, the Pirates had no problem piling-up the points as they crushed the Gerrys like a can at a frat party.

The onslaught was lead by Jimmy Ferraro with six goals and one assist. Brian (a.k.a. #67) would add two tallies of his own and Russ also scored to round out the night's festivities. After the 1st period we led 3-1, but we widened the gap in the 2nd when we led 7-4. In the 3rd period, we kept them off the board entirely and talled a couple more to finish the game at 9-4.

The Wednesday Pirates finished the Winter II season with a 4-6-0 record and a goals against average of 5.88. Both of these stats will hopefully be improved upon in the coming Summer season

WON 9-4

THE
SILVER
SKULLS

1) JIMMY FERRARO
For making the “Legends” page in three categories: Most goals in a game (6); Most points in a game (7); and adding his seventh career hattrick — because it was a Consolation game, however, all those stats have an asterisk.

2) KEITH RICHARDSON
For his 3-point outing.

3) BRIAN NEWCOMB
For netting 2 goals and then attempting to get the hattrick and not passing to Russ at the end of the game.
